The Atlas Service Center is now welcoming walk-in visitors.
The Atlas Service Center (located on the first floor of E17, 40 Ames Street entrance) complements many of the resources available through Atlas online. MIT faculty, staff, students, and affiliates can receive guidance and complete activities by phone, via email, and in person at the Center. Please see below for details on specific services.

In accordance with U.S. immigration law, all faculty, staff, and student workers paid by MIT are required to provide proof of identity and authorization to work in the United States. See more on required documentation. Learn about the process and how to schedule an appointment.
Marsha Dailey, Tax Treaty/Senior Payroll Coordinator, is available by Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 am–4:30 pm, to help students, faculty, researchers, and staff address tax treaty questions, determine U.S. tax status, and complete required forms. Complimentary notary services are offered by appointment only, 10 am–3 pm. Schedule a notary appointment.
Fingerprinting for criminal background checks is available to MIT community members. Email atlascenter@mit.edu to schedule a fingerprinting appointment.
There is a $10 fee (payable by TechCASH or credit card) for a 2x2 passport photo. Schedule a passport photo appointment.
Obtain your first MIT ID card, additional cards upon expiration, and replace lost or stolen cards. Learn more and get started with ID cards.
