Welcome to MIT!

As part of your new hire activities, you'll need to get your Kerberos account, enroll in Duo authentication, and get your personal certificate. These credentials will provide you with access to your MIT email and many other resources to get you started in your new role.

STEP 2

Get Kerberos Account

You first must obtain your Kerberos account, which is your online identity at MIT.

STEP 3

Enroll in Duo

Enroll a cellphone, landline or both into MIT's two-factor authentication system.

STEP 4

Get Personal Certificate

A personal certificate makes it faster and easier to access MIT web based systems. Install it on the browser(s) you use most.

STEP 5

Continue New Hire Activities

Success! You've obtained your credentials and can now complete your remaining new hire activities including: confirming your personal information, completing MIT's required preventing sexual misconduct training, and obtaining your MIT ID card.
